An opportunity to make a difference

We are often asked by those who are interested in the Emmaus Center’s mission of providing clinical counseling, “How can I help?” Since most of our activities are professional in nature and highly confidential, one the best ways a supporter can help is by giving to the Samaritan Fund.

Clinical counseling is desperately needed by individuals and families today, no matter their socioeconomic status. The Emmaus Center is committed to provide counseling services of the highest quality to those who come our way. Some clients have insurance or other means to bear the cost of counseling, while others can ill afford the help they so desperately need.

As Jesus explained in his parable of the Good Samaritan, Christians must become aware and involved with those in need around them. Clients who are uninsured, underinsured or of limited means need “Samaritans” to come alongside and help provide resources for their care. The Samaritan Fund has been established to provide a clearinghouse for such resources. It is funded through gifts from partner churches and committed individuals who see the vision and understand the need.
