The Emmaus Center- a place for hope and healing...

 Imagine a counseling center that

integrates Christian values with clinical psychology,

partnering with local churches, families and  individuals

in order to help bring spiritual, emotional and psychological

wellness into people’s lives.

You’ve just imagined the Emmaus Center!

About the Emmaus Center:

The Emmaus Center provides clinical counseling services to churches, families, couples and individuals. The center is chartered as a non-profit ministry and is guided by a Board of Directors representing numerous churches in our community.  The counselors, staff members and board members are united in their personal faith in Jesus Christ and their belief in God’s saving and healing power.  The center operates from a theological perspective of historic evangelical Christianity, as clearly demonstrated by its Statement of Faith.

About Christian counseling:

The ministry of Christian counseling embraces the integration of the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of individuals.  The vision of Christian counseling is to bring Christ’s wellness and wholeness into lives by promoting physical health, emotional wellbeing, healthy relationships and spiritual maturity.

The primary goals of the center are:

 (1)  to provide an outreach into the community that brings together Christian truth and psychological understanding,

 (2)  to be accessible to everyone in need who seeks counseling,

 (3)  to apply sound organizational and business practices, and

 (4)  to be recognizable as a premier Christian counseling ministry- excellent in quality, highly professional and very visible.

"You Can't Make Me"

Strong-willed children are a challenge for the best of parents. This book helps you “get inside” the child’s head to see how he or she thinks, making it more natural to motivate, discipline, and build relationships.

"Attachments"

Why is it so difficult to connect with, or even get along with, certain people especially the ones you care about the most? Drs. Tim Clinton and Gary Sibcy believe that, for each of us, our present relationships are influenced by our first "attachments" or bonds with people in early childhood. Consequently, understanding your pattern of relating to others what the authors call your "attachment style" is the cornerstone for building satisfying relationships with the people you love.
